Adjusting presentation product prices for agency planning

Agencies and print houses may need to prepare a client-facing price scenario from an existing gift presentation. Brandkom’s free studio supports an explicit percentage adjustment to the presentation’s product prices. The change belongs to that presentation, while the underlying catalogue prices remain unchanged. Use this feature after the products and quantities are clear, and review the resulting numbers before sharing the proposal.

State the intended percentage clearly

For example, write “زيد أسعار المنتجات بالعرض 30%” to request a 30 percent increase in the presentation’s product prices. The adjustment applies across its options and remains saved with the presentation. It does not increase the quantities or apply the same percentage to packaging. Repeating the same 30 percent instruction does not compound it into another increase. Review the applied percentage rather than assuming a repeated message created a new pricing scenario.

Check a simple worked example

In a hypothetical calculation, a product base price of 10 units of currency becomes 13 after a 30 percent increase. At 100 units, the product line becomes 1,300 rather than 1,000. If packaging is 2 per set, its 200 total remains separate and unchanged by that product-price instruction. These numbers are arithmetic examples, not Brandkom catalogue rates. Also distinguish markup from profit margin: increasing a base price by 30 percent does not create a 30 percent margin on the resulting selling price.

Review the complete commercial scope

After applying the adjustment, inspect each option’s unit prices, quantities and product subtotal. Confirm that pending custom components remain pending and packaging retains its own treatment. Generate or review the current presentation before sending it; an older downloaded file will still contain its earlier numbers. A presentation adjustment is a planning tool, not a supplier discount, an agreed agency contract or a formal quotation. Confirm the final scope with the team when the client selects a direction.

Record the reason for the price scenario

Keep an internal note of why the presentation uses the chosen percentage and what the client-facing amount is intended to cover. Do not assume that a product markup automatically accounts for agency service work, freight or custom packaging. Those items need their own treatment in the commercial scope. If the percentage changes during review, compare the new scenario with the original product basis and inspect all options again. The useful record is the applied percentage and its purpose, rather than a sequence of manually increased totals that nobody can reconstruct.

Before you move forward

  • Confirm the products and quantities first.
  • Write the percentage and product-price scope explicitly.
  • Check one unit-price calculation and each option subtotal.
  • Review the current shared view and PDF before sending.

Common questions

Does the adjustment change the public catalogue?

No. It changes the product-price view saved for the presentation. The base catalogue remains unchanged, and product quantities are preserved.

What happens if I send the same 30 percent command twice?

The same percentage remains applied to the base presentation product prices. The repeated command does not add a second 30 percent increase on top.
